Food Review - No Signboard Sheng Jian
Nearest MRT: Yishun
Spotted this restaurant one day when I was at Northpoint and decided to ask Mister for dinner date here one of the days. 2 pax dine-in was easy for us (as of 12 Oct 2021) who were fully vaccinated. So go for your vaccination if you haven't. Because Mister was asking for dim sum meal and I saw that they have some options (not totally a dim sum place) like Xiao Long Bao, Wanton, Spring Rolls and so on. Temporary satisfied his craving with this new food place first.
By the time we were seated (dinner time), most of their items sold out. I wanna try the Trio Sheng Jian Bao that consists of 3 different flavours like Chilli Crab and Pork, Vegan and Spicy Dried Shrimp, then Crispy Shrimp and Pork Wanton and Sauteed Long Bean with Minced Meat & Preserved Olive. All these were SOLD OUT! Lunch time and tea break goers all finished their supply for the day or limited edition or not enough supply? So sad you know. The basic dishes that I wanna have in a Chinese restaurant.
Now let us looked at what we had that night.
Signature Sheng Jian Bao ($5.50), Xiao Long Bao ($5.50)

Both their Signature Sheng Jian Bao and Xiao Long Bao were really bursting with juices, though if I rate them from the juiciest, Xiao Long Bao won. Okay not sure if you still remember that I'm quite particular with the dumpling skins, the ones here were good. š
Guo Tie (Gyoza, $5.50)

I loved gyozas so it would always be a must order dish. But minus points when I spotted a fine hair on it. Please note on that ya, No Signboard Sheng Jian (Northpoint Branch). I never picked up a fuss because your restaurant just opened recently. You peeps could spot it from the photo? Anyway their Guo Tie also bursting juice type. They could pan-fry a little more crispy.
Crispy Noodles ($14.80, for him)

Kind of pricey for a simple noodles dish like this and Mister said buying from Zhi Char stall would be much cheaper and probably much tastier. But I loved it so I gave it a š (though not the best).
Pork Dumpling with Red Chili Sauce ($7.80)

Actually this was just another dumpling dish in Red Chili Oil (ēŗ¢ę²¹ęę) but we loved to order whenever we dined out at other Chinese restaurants. Tried mixing all the dumplings in the sauce/oil before having it.
Deep Fried Diced Beancurd with 5 Spices ($5.80)

The outlook was great but taste the 5 spices and Mister has to dip into the red chilli sauce to spice it up. Maybe we were the heavier taste-bud humans. You might get the hint of 5 spices but not us. š
How to Order?

After you scanned a QR code for ordering and payment, note on the e-receipt that would state a queue number. I suggest you screenshot beforehand so that you won't missed your queue or forgot what you ordered. Then wait for your number to be called and collect at their collection point for dine-in customers. By the way, no service charge. Cheers.
I also found Vegan dishes in their menu so Vegan customers could find out more first before dropping by to try.
Anyway, we suggest you peeps to try their Signature Sheng Jian Bao, Xiao Long Bao and Guo Tie (Gyoza) and enjoy the bursting juices. We got rankings for them alright, from Xiao Long Bao (Winner), followed by Guo Tie and Signature Sheng Jian Bao. Okay. That's all. Bye!
