My 30s Milestones

I have hit 40 this year so time to sum up my last 10 years in my 30s. By looking back at what I have achieved in my 30s, hopefully I can do much more for my next 10 years in the 40s. Live life with no regrets. Even if I failed, at least I did tried before than never. That is part and parcel of life, right?

Year 2011 - 2020

My 30th
  • Applied BTO flat twice with my then-boyfriend, now husband. Successful on the 2nd try.
My 31st
  • Started my Undergraduate Program, Bachelor of Business (Management) at SIM-RMIT with my girlfriend. A full-time working professional, part-time student;
  • Took up my very first study loan this life with Maybank.
My 32th
  • Completed my Undergraduate Program in December 2013;
  • Paid off the study loan.
My 33th
  • Gotten our keys to the new flat, married to my boyfriend of 6 years;
  • Graduation ceremony in August, wore the Mortar Board for the 2nd time in life, 1st was Kindergarten;
  • Went for a Graduation trip to Melbourne with my girlfriend and her son because that was where RMIT located.
My 34th to 35th
  • Working my ass off to earn back the money spent on my study.
My 36th
  • Paid off HDB loan with Mister;
  • Career switch for us to slow down our pace with me taking up contract job instead;
  • Started on private driving lessons after more than a decade hiatus. Auto instead of Manual because Mister gotten his own car after decades of driving company vehicle and I could drive too when needed.

  • Passed my driving test on 1st attempt after 1 year of lessons.
My 38th - 39th

  • Left my 2.5 years contract job for a break and also looking for other opportunities;
  • Found a full time job right before the pandemic hit hard worldwide and I'm grateful.
Now I have started penning down my 40s milestones. That will be another 10 years of wait and I wonder by then anyone will still read blogs. Anyway, this post is just for me to look back at memory lane in my 30s and see how far I have achieved to become a better me now. I think you peeps out there should do so too. Some may say that photos also can be a memory lane but I doubt you can remember which year each photo is taken, unless you write down at the back of your photos or relying on the digital details to help. Whatever that makes you happy, just do it. Cheers.
