The Secret to Perfect Homecooked Fried Rice + My Husband's Childhood Recipes

If there is one ultimate comfort food that instantly feels like home, it has to be a steaming plate of fried rice. But if you ask three different people how they cook it, you’ll probably get three completely different answers! In our household, fried rice isn't just a quick way to clear out the fridge, it's a trip down memory lane. Recently, my husband took over the wok to recreate two nostalgic fried rice recipes he grew up eating as a youngster, alongside our go-to classic version. Media Invite | Japan Food Town - Spring Lunch Fair

From now till 21st May, visit the restaurants at Japan Food Town located at Level 4 of Wisma Atria for their Spring Lunch Fair. Be amazed by what each restaurant has to offer for this Spring Lunch Fair Menu. Don't miss it!

Back to Yomoda Soba again for a bowl of Standard Mixed Soba that costed $11.80++. Served with a hot bowl of soup, the ingredients topped on the warm soba were nicely presented in four (4) sections: cucumbers, beansprouts, crumbs and seaweed flakes. Looks like it is telling us the start of a new cycle of 4 seasons: Spring, Summer, Autumn and Winter. Then with a small serving of chilli in the middle section and the mixing sauce underneath the soba, mixed them well to ensure the sauce blended with the soba and its ingredients.

With mouthful, you get that crunch from the cucumbers and beansprouts. If you love beansprouts, they provided a small container of beansprouts for you to add on. The taste was flavourful and spicy but not overwhelming which suited my palate. I enjoyed it even more because it was served with warm soba. If you love warm soba like me, you might love this.
