Cafe Q Classified [Takashimaya] | Food Review

Took half day to go out with my SILs and niece since it was Good Friday eve. And nowadays to avoid disappointment and long wait, it would be best to make reservations before you head out because we are going back to pre-covid times and will be packed with humans, again.

My SILs came once before that and decided that we should come here again. And I did passed by this cafe once too, finding it superb pinkish. The cafe setting is perfect for Instagrammable photos and also those pinkish and flowery lovers. I requested for a special nice corner but got the 2nd best (at least in my opinion) though the lights were a little dim. So we have to take enough photos to make our trip worthwhile here.

While waiting for them to come, ordered a cup of Hot Chocolate with Marshmallow. Thickness was just right and creamy. But too small a cup for the price. I'm not drinking Expresso lor.

Let's talk about their teapots, cups and saucers. I cannot resist such beauty because from young, my folks appreciate such English style teapot sets and they even bought me cups and saucers for 2 pax as our housewarming gift. I remembered it appearing on some of my posts. Now take a look at them and tell me how not to love.

We tried picking those Chef's Recommendations to share (yes share the fats) and we find that this place serves kind of like fusion food, a mix of Asian and Western. Here is the spread of food for our brunch:

Signature Bulgogi Beef Wagyuwich 👍

A thick, sturdy toast with a spread of melted cheese and the wagyu on top. The done-ness of the meat should be between medium to medium well as I did see some redness. Perfect texture because it was tender for you to bite or chew.

Maestro Crackling Pork Belly 👍

Served with tiny potatoes and salad, the pork belly really crackled their way into our mouth. Salty (which I loved it) so my SILs used some balance toast from Wagyuwich to go with it. Great idea.

Weight Watch Salad 👍

This was really a well-balanced salad with protein (the runny egg yolk style), omega 3 (salmon), carbs (noodles), seafood (fresh prawns) and greens. Guess what? There was jellyfish too (those you see in Chinese cold dish). Well loved by all of us.

Dutch Baby Pancake with Red Ruby

They served a good slice of coconut flesh. But didn't manage to eat them on time because the ice cream melted because busy having other food and chatting. This was okay for me, no wow factor.

Truffle Fries 👍

How to miss out this side dish which all of us loved? I concluded that I still prefer shoestring fries for truffle. Nothing beats shoestring fries.

Korean Dalgona Coffee

The niece chose this to try while the rest of her aunties and her mum had Strawberry Cream and Secrets of Singapore tea. The Dalgona trend die down quite long ago but still nice to see it in the menu.

Time for Cakes, people! Is Tea Time!

Ordered a Black Forest (my favourite always), Mango, Lychee and Taro (please try, not sweet at all) for me to blow the candle. Hahaha... thanks to the ladies of my 2nd family. Wish everyone safe and sound, and me Huat ahhh!

Comes with a biscotti. Both teas were good, depending on your preference. I, as a tea lover prefer on the middle tone, not too light or strong and must be smooth when you drink down. Perfect!

Thanks to my sisters-in law for the treat!

To the guy who served us (a Singh guy if I'm not wrong), you done great. Thank you for accomodating us despite we were late for our reservation (or maybe the cafe allows, not sure) and also helping with our request. 👍👍👍
