Is This Busan's Best View? My First-Timer's Day Tour Itinerary

To be completely honest, despite visiting South Korea 11 years ago, I had never actually stepped foot in Busan until this trip. Coming here for the first time, my takeaway might surprise you: to me, it felt like just another city in Korea with a change to seaside backdrop. Perhaps it was the specific pacing and activities of our tour itinerary, but it didn't completely reinvent the wheel for me. That said, Busan still offered some incredibly unique sights and massive modern infrastructure right against the ocean. From riding the iconic Haeundae Blueline Park beach train to sipping coffee 100th floor in the sky. If you're curious about what a first-timer's structured Busan tour looks like, here is an honest breakdown of how we spent our day checking out the ultimate views of Busan in two days. Check out our YouTube Premiere today 18 May 2026 at 4pm of Songdo Cloud Trail Riding the Rails: Haeundae Beach Train to Cheongsapo One of the highlights of the structured tour was expe...

Food Review | Giòn Giòn The Bánh Mì Bar

Sometimes I find that stall turnover at One Raffles Place basement is kind of fast except for some stronghold like The Daily Cuts which always attracts lots of patrons every weekday lunch time, another few to name will be SouperStar and Tip Top Curry Puff which have their own clientele. Anyway this Vietnamese stall I'm gonna review is kind of new and I'm fascinated by the variation of  Bánh Mì from chicken, pork, beef to egg. And you can DIY your Bánh Mì too They also offered Noodle Salad and Spring Rolls. From their menu board, seems like they have Breakfast combo from 8am to 11am. That's interesting. Let's see what we can get for lunch with $10 at Giòn Giòn The Bánh Mì Bar!

The Lanterns remind me of Danang

The lanterns hanged above reminds me of my girls trip to Danang, Vietnam. The peculiar shape of the lantern (slim on the bottom type) can be seen at the long stretch of shophouses at Hoi An street. I even helped to buy a pair back to my parents as requested. Yes it definitely looks unique than the usual round shape lanterns. And giving out the authentic Vietnamese vibes here.

Noodle Salad with Chicken $9.90

I tried Noodle Salad at other Vietnamese stall in this area and the ratio of salad and noodles are quite balanced, unlike this one here which has more noodles than the said salad. Probably because my preference of having less carbs, although the Vietnamese Vermicelli Noodles aren't that fattening in a way. And drizzled with their Nước Chấm sauce makes it taste less bland. I chose Chicken because I wanted proteins and they have other options like Prawn, Pork, Summer Roll (what?) and Mushroom Tofu too. Oh looks all good as proteins too. Tender and the seasoning wasn't too overwhelming nor bland. More like grilled chicken though. The small amount of salad was good with chilli padi and some crunch from the cucumbers and nuts. Not forgetting the must-have minty taste. So Vietnamese. Overall, decent portion and taste, and price too.

Spring Rolls at SGD2.70 each

You can choose from the option like Prawn, Beef, Grilled Pork, Mushroom & Tofu and Chicken. At $2.70 each, it is kind of affordable given the rising costs for rental and food. All the spring rolls have the authentic taste coming from the mint and fish sauce. But the skin was kind of hard to tear due to its thickness (or freshness). Overall, it was a good and healthy meal.

You can have your food there standing though it can accommodate only about 3-4 pax max. More like a takeaway stall than dine-in. So just take-away and eat comfortably on your work desk or pantry.
