Unboxing Taiwanese Products Part 2 | Lifestyle

Previously I bought my hauls from FB Live. This time round a small purchase from Shopee and mostly were instant noodles. I'm really a hardcore Instant Noodles fan, I think. Hopefully this purchase won't disappoint me. On standby to travel Taiwan again and buy my own supply back to eat till heart content.

Original Beef Noodles Soup åŽŸę±ē‰›č‚‰ę±¤é¢

Mister cooked 1 and a half pack and added some minced garlic. He loved the noodles for its springy (QQ type) and the soup was light but still tasty enough overall. Guessing he had used too much water. Better try next round. Is it all Taiwanese noodles are that springy? This one here passed Mister's texture test, just like ē»“力 brand. šŸ‘šŸ‘šŸ‘

Since the overall taste wasn't great, we used the noodles to fry instead. That way, we don't waste the good texture of the noodles and save them from becoming a waste in the bin.

Wei Lih Men - ē»“力ē‚ø酱面

Simply loved the idea of having å¹²ęžé¢ dry noodles that comes with soup in instant form. I know when we have soup base noodles also have soup ah but this is dry noodles please.

The soup gives you the impression like plain water but it actually tasted savoury with some scallions (č‘±é¦™å‘³). It matches the taste of the noodles. Noodles passed the texture test. QQēš„. Shall grab them again on our next flight out to Taiwan (sadly, we don't know when).

One More Cup ę„äø€å®¢ (by Uni-President)

6 different flavours right in front of you. And 3 different emotions at the back of each cup. Those I reviewed with a šŸ‘Œ means I will buy that flavour again.

Blue: ꚧ꘧äø€ę—¦č¢«ē‚¹ē‡ƒļ¼Œē«čŠ±å°†åœØä½ ęˆ‘åæƒäøē››ę”¾...
Red: åˆ»ę„åˆ¶é€ åˆ»ę„ļ¼Œę‰čƒ½č®©å…¬å¹³ęœŗēŽ‡å¤šäŗ†ęš§ę˜§č®Šå› ...
Purple: 仄ꁒåæƒč‡Ŗč½¬ēš„ę’ę˜Ÿļ¼ŒęÆ”é“¶ę²³ēš„å…‰čŠ’ę›“耀ēœ¼...

Mister started the ball rolling because his mouth is 'itchy' (what is the difference with hungry thou?).

Minced Pork Flavour šŸ Ÿ: Comes with a Seasoning pack and oil. Mister said despite being a small cup, the noodles was quite a lot (not until alot but given that it is a small cup as compared to those known brands). And one more thing, the soup base tastes like our favourite Myojo Beehoon Chicken Instant Noodles. No doubt it smells good. 香!

Seafood Flavour šŸ Ÿ: I can see fishcake and seaweed or maybe scallions too. The smell wasn't strong and flavour was light. Very normal seafood cup noodles.

šŸ‘Œ Kimchi Flavour šŸ Ÿ: There was kimchi provided and the taste was mild spiciness and savoury. Quite a decent cup although still rooms for improvement.

šŸ‘Œ Beef Flavour šŸ Ÿ: It has a little spiciness and a hint of the beef broth because of that herbal taste.

Chilli Beef Flavour šŸ Ÿ: At first while waiting for it to be cooked, there is a mild spicy smell for that moment. The taste is spicy (for sure) and savoury. For non-spicy takers, this is good.

Pork Stew Flavour šŸ Ÿ:

The soup base is a little darker and diluted taste (I never put over the water line). Mediocre overall. Can keep you 70% full will do. Hahaha...

Mushroom Pork Flavour é¦™č‡č‚‰ē¾¹ę±¤é¢

Don't follow the cooking instruction in English. If you can read Chinese characters, follow that because it was much detailed than the one line instruction. Seriously, I think this brand really mediocre when it comes to taste. Like any other instant noodles that I can find in Singapore. Of course the authentic č‚‰ē¾¹ę±¤é¢ in Taiwan still the best, but selective stalls only.

I had better Taiwanese cup noodles before so my conclusion for the above purchase: never reach my expectation probably because our taste-buds are on the heavier side. Shall go for popular brands in Taiwan that I have tried before.
