He’s back at it! After his last trip to Osaka & Kyoto, he’s heading to Tokyo this time. When I first heard the news, I was skeptical: "Wait, what? We just got back three months ago from celebrating Christmas and your birthday!" But then I thought well, it’s Japan. You don’t say no to Japan.
Looking through his itinerary, I noticed a few familiar spots we’ve already visited together. Haha... On repeat mode.
And this time he really hit the jackpot with the timing: right place, right time for the Cherry Blossoms.
Here is a peek into his photo gallery. Considering that he isn't a photo taking person, I appreciate his best effort here. More Japan for all you peeps out there.

Cherry Blossom Season in Tokyo, Japan
When I told my dad that my husband was in Tokyo enjoying the cherry blossoms, he grumbled a little and joked that both the blossoms and Mount Fuji must not like him. After all, he’s visited Japan twice for the purpose and still hasn’t seen either with his own eyes. Haha! I guess I just got lucky catching a glimpse of Mount Fuji last December. At least now I know the right timing to see it. You can check out my previous post to find out more.

His Dinner on the 1st Day
Based on his past trips, I already know he’ll be indulging in plenty of great food and staying well-hydrated with all kinds of booze: beer, sake, you name it. Honestly, who wouldn’t come back a little heavier after a trip like that, right?

His home for the next 3 nights but he still prefers Keio Plaza
The hotel stay was fine for him, but there were a few quirks. The room had a front-loading washing machine and a microwave, which was nice. However, the toiletries, along with the supposed mini bar items like coffee and tea bags, had to be picked up from the reception (if I remember correctly). Seems like it’s one of those eco-friendly hotels. The funny part? He had no idea how to use the washing machine and ended up coming back with a bag of laundry to wash. What a waste of energy, especially now that we really need to be conserving it here in Singapore due to the ongoing war!

Night is still young in Tokyo to not have a drink
Yep, he said every meal was accompanied by drinks, especially sake and there was never a night without booze, often staying up late. Definitely a tiring trip for him. And so he left for the trip with a slight sniffle and came back with a half-blown cough. Guess too much of a good thing isn’t always good!

Oh ya at least he knows one thing that I like
Ahh… at least he knows what I like. I didn’t take him to Ginza last December because I had better plans to visit more interesting places. Ginza is more of a luxury shopping district, with all the major fashion powerhouses lining the streets.

Dinner place for the last night
When I saw that his dinner was at Wolfgang, I asked if the food was any good. He said that, honestly, all the meals he had throughout the trip just tasted "normal", nothing exceptional. Well, I guess Wolfgang is off the list for me now, especially since I remember there’s one at MBS.
So that pretty much wraps up his short trip to Tokyo—no shopping at all (he never buy my Jagabee!), and the money he brought barely got touched, probably just for his cigarettes. Guess I’ll exchange that cash back to SGD. Until the next post. Cheers!
