Honestly, Durian has a fair share of fans and haters because of that pungent smell which will make some puke on first bite. I don't get it because I'm a fan of Durian and for those who hates it, apologies but you just have to bear with the smell for awhile.
The King of the Fruits, which we normally call, describes as green, thorny and falls from the trees (watch your head) and available mid of the year (between June to August). During this period, you will see stalls selling them in boxes, seal with cling wrap for grab and go. Super convenient. Unless you wanna open up yourself.
This year 2020 will be quite different in a way because of Covid-19. Most of us will try to stay at home as much to avoid public places because as you already know, Phase 2 in Singapore doesn't mean the virus is completely gone. Still a long way till before the vaccine is made available. So hang in there.
Because of this pandemic, a lot of businesses go online in order to continue catering the customers' need. So if you don't wanna miss this durian season, you can get them deliver to your doorstep.
So if you wanna get the freshest durians in Singapore, do some search from Best in Singapore for the best places to order your fresh durians in Singapore. Click on the link to find out more.

Here's what Durian Delivery Singapore has picked out for me this year.
TYPES OF DURIANS
1) Red Prawns
Tried them last season and it was well-loved by us. The taste is sweeter than bitter, plus fleshy. Darker in colour to distinguish themselves from other types.
2) Old Tree Mao Shan Wang (*TOP FAVOURITE*)
First try and immediately enlisted to our favourite list. Fleshy and custard texture, bitter with Cognac-like taste and a tint of sweetness. The seeds are flat and small, that is what we are looking for to get the most (flesh) out of it. Agree?
3) Mao Shan Wang
The most common one and though it isn't as fleshy as Old Tree MSW, it has a good balance of the bittersweet taste.
There are more than just the above 3 flavours. For you to find out on their website.
THE DOs AND DON'Ts
Don't go overboard without knowing the Dos and Don'ts when it comes to durian feasting.
It has its health benefits but then, quite a heaty fruit.
Do drink lots of water after your durian feast. Because you might end up like me having traces of blood in the excrement. There goes to show you really have too much and your body goes way too heaty. Personal experience. Just do a water parade and you will be fine.
And some might already know what you should not go with durians because it can be quite harmful to your health:
1) No Alcohol
2) No Mangosteens
3) No Dairy or Caffeine drinks
Now, probably I should get some for my families to enjoy together. Once awhile indulgence. Cheers!
