In a city overflowing with coffee chains and bubble tea joints, discovering a place like LULI feels like a quiet revelation. Rooted in the philosophy of Traditional Chinese Medicine and elevated through the artistry of modern tea craft, LULI isn’t just a drink shop—it’s a wellness ritual in disguise. Each cup is thoughtfully brewed, not only to taste good but to do good—for your body, your mood, and your sense of balance.
Founded by six sisters from Nanjing, China, LULI KaiLGFZ 陆藜 开了个方子 was created to make Traditional Chinese Medicine (TCM) approachable for the modern generation. The name ‘陆藜’ reflects its roots: ‘陆’ (Lu) symbolizing both ‘land’ and the number six, and ‘藜’ (Li) meaning herbs. Backed by clinical expertise, LULI reimagines TCM through handcrafted herbal teas that merge ancient remedies with modern aesthetics and everyday convenience.

Ancient remedies with modern aesthetics |
As some of you may know, I’ve been incorporating Traditional Chinese Medicine into my wellness routine: starting with weekly visits to a Chinese physician, daily herbal remedies, and more recently, nightly herbal leg baths before sleep. Discovering LULI has only deepened my belief that addressing any root cause of our health issues through TCM offers a more sustainable approach than relying solely on Western medicine. And it has to start young.

Their Top Sellers & Recommended Drinks |
I have just visited LULI to explore their menu of handcrafted herbal teas, and I found that the menu at LULI thoughtfully categorizes each drink according to the Five Elements: Wood (Liver), Fire (Heart), Earth (Spleen), Metal (Lung), and Water (Kidney), so you can select the blend that best supports your current condition. I chose a drink that targets the Spleen as my Chinese physician had previously recommended strengthening it as part of my treatment plan.
Now I can have my tea purposefully.

How many do you recognize? |
Since I'm focusing on strengthening my Spleen, I decided to try the Fig Root Goddess Glow drink from LULI. It's said to be brewed with Fircus Hirta roots, Poria, and Coix Seed Pearls. The taste was pleasantly thick with a subtle root flavor and a mild sweetness (I opted for the low-sugar version). What I appreciated most was that it didn’t have that overpowering traditional Chinese medicine taste. If you're looking to support your Spleen, this could be a great option, along with other drinks specifically formulated for Spleen health. I will go for it again when I'm there.

My Fig Root Goddess Glow |
My bestie went for the Pear Supreme drink, which is designed to support Lung health. It's likely brewed with a blend of dried pear slices, almonds, Solomon's Seal rhizome, lily bulb, fig, red dates, and goji berries. That's quite a generous mix of ingredients used for this drink. Since she chose the zero-sugar option, it gives out that nostalgic, traditional herbal tea flavor we used to have as kids. She’s already planning to try other drinks next time. Looks like they gained two loyal customers right from the first visit!

Overall, it was a refreshing experience exploring these wellness drinks—both tasty and rooted in traditional ingredients. Whether you're looking to support your Spleen, Lungs, or just want something nourishing and unique, LULI has some thoughtful blends to try. Definitely coming back for more.
