Next celebration came on the same day at dinner time. After a French cuisine for lunch, now back to my roots. Shouldn't have set that date for my birthday meals since I'm setting off for my Maldives trip. Fat die me but I learnt to control what I take in and also the help from my fat burning jelly. 

So my bestie found this place and I agreed without any hesitation. Why? Because I saw that Flying Noodles in their menu. I was so fascinated by that dish so is a must-go for me whether the food taste is good or not. And since is walkable distance from my office, I saved my transport fare. It was raining heavily that evening, making it so difficult to walk without getting myself wet. 

Walked in through a dim walkway into the dining area. Super neon-light settings and Chinese table setting with porcelain dining wares. What was exaggerating would be the QR code menu. Came in a wooden box with just a piece of card with the QR code in it for you to scan and view the menu.

Now let me share with you what we ordered that night, along with our wines and beer to complement the food. 

First up, Firecracker Chicken & Maple Fritter. Recently into Spicy Diced Chicken a.k.a 辣子鸡. Training myself to try more spicy numbing food, if not I'm gonna miss out so much nice food out there. This dish is numbing shiok and we can keep hissing like a snake. You can reduce the numb and spicy by having the Maple Dough Fritters to tame with sweetness. Highly recommend this dish.

Next up, the Golden Fried Mapo Tofu with Crab Meat. It was okay, crispy tofu puffs dipped in the savoury gravy with morsels of scrambled eggs in it. Nothing fantastic.

The most anticipated dish coming up and very Instagrammable. The Flying Noodles with Soft Shell Crab and Hokkaido Scallops. You have to watch my video to see how they 'dismantle the noodles for consumption. They made this zi char 煮炒 menu which is similar to Sheng Mian 生面 looking luxurious with soft shell crabs and unshrinkable scallops. Also some vegetables on the side. Well-balanced meal (trying to comfort myself). Overall taste was fine.

How can you finish your meal without dessert to mouthwash away the spiciness and savoury? Ordered a Red Bean Pancake with Salted Caramel Ice Cream. Hot piece of red bean pancake to go with some cold ice cream, what a delectable taste! Sweet and savoury, hot and cold. Match make from heaven.

Then came an Osmanthus cake which my ladies requested for my birthday. Some osmanthus teeny weeny petals on top of it. Osmanthus represents romance, love, and optimism. Also often associated with noble virtues, such as loyalty and longevity, and are believed to bring good fortune. Wow... thank you my dearies. I huat you all also HUAT AHHH!

And yes now the three of us have Labubu. Bought one for my lady and it has to be Have A Seat, Sisi. Because I love the smiley face of Sisi and always carry it on my bag to work to brighten the dull hours at work.

If you like creative Chinese cuisine in such unique restaurant concept, you can visit this place for a whole new experience than a mainstream restaurant. Though I know there are more others of such which I'm gonna be exploring one by one with my friends. Enjoy!
