Is This Busan's Best View? My First-Timer's Day Tour Itinerary

To be completely honest, despite visiting South Korea 11 years ago, I had never actually stepped foot in Busan until this trip. Coming here for the first time, my takeaway might surprise you: to me, it felt like just another city in Korea with a change to seaside backdrop. Perhaps it was the specific pacing and activities of our tour itinerary, but it didn't completely reinvent the wheel for me. That said, Busan still offered some incredibly unique sights and massive modern infrastructure right against the ocean. From riding the iconic Haeundae Blueline Park beach train to sipping coffee 100th floor in the sky. If you're curious about what a first-timer's structured Busan tour looks like, here is an honest breakdown of how we spent our day checking out the ultimate views of Busan in two days. Check out our YouTube Premiere today 18 May 2026 at 4pm of Songdo Cloud Trail Riding the Rails: Haeundae Beach Train to Cheongsapo One of the highlights of the structured tour was expe...

Welcome back. Hope you have read about my adventure in Hakodate, if not click here to reminisce with me. After leaving Hakodate, we headed to Niseko. Meanwhile in-between the coach ride, we arrived at the 1st photo stop with The Eight Views of Toyako, considered one of the most scenic views of Toyako.

MOUNT USU ROPEWAY

Next stop, taking a cable ride (a.k.a ropeway) to the observation deck for a panoramic view of Lake Toya and Showa Shinzan, with the latter offering the ocean view and Mount Usu's largest crater.

Before we left Mount Usu Ropeway, had another ice cream, and this time, Melon flavor. That explains those holiday fats I brought back from the trip. But I can't miss out on any ice cream flavor in Japan, especially Hokkaido because I find them all so creamy.

NISEKO VILLAGE - HILTON NISEKO

The welcoming vibes of Christmas the moment you enter the hotel. The perks of traveling in December. I'm loving it! Our stay at Hilton was a good one with a nice, comfy room and a good buffet spread. And your ski adventure begins right outside of the hotel.

The Niseko United Ski Area where Niseko Village sits has access to inter-linked ski resorts (including Hilton Niseko and 4 others maybe), boasting a combined 2,191 acres of skiable terrain, and located strategically at the base of Mount Niseko Annupuri.

Their buffet spread was good and couldn't help but want more desserts. Not sure why I can go for more sweet indulgence than back in Singapore. Monsieur loved their beef slices so much. And we also ordered sake to warm our bodies. They even showed us the sake that we were getting.

We went sledding the next morning after breakfast. It was so fun though very kiddy. I find that the slope with small humps will make sledding even more thrilling. It can be tiring when you go many rounds because you have to climb up the slope and sled down and repeat. But it was so good doing so while it snows. There are also groups of students learning to ski. So cool to be learning a sport, especially skiing. Thank God I insisted on bringing our ski gloves bought in Korea because they can cushion better impacts you might experience during the ski or sledding, like when you fall. Hahaha...

End the post with a nice river view at Niseko

Another ski resort experience after the last one in Korea. I suggest you look for a hotel like Hilton Niseko where you can go straight out to ski and not have to walk a distance away just to get to the ski field. That is what we heard from another tour group from another country. Lucky us! This is definitely one place to visit for a good ski or sledding whole day and also to enjoy the snow. Up next, Otaru.
